KOKA, a Japanese calligrapher based in New York, will have performance and calligraphy trial at the Japan Foundation, Los Angeles. She will demonstrate live mural writing and give you short Japanese calligraphy (Shodo) lecture. You could try Japanese calligraphy after her demonstration.

 

   About Performer/Instructor:  
KOKA

She is a Japanese calligrapher based in New York. She has thirteen years of experience in the Japanese traditional art form of Calligraphy. She has had solo exhibits in Brooklyn, group exhibits in Chelsea and has performed in Sakura Matsuri at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. Her goal is to present the beauty of Japanese culture through calligraphy and to provide people with an opportunity to learn about a different culture.
