Learning Kanji seems challenging but it is actually very interesting and fun!  In this workshop, you will gain Kanji learning tips as we introduce types of how kanji is formed, the concept of radicals, and lastly, you will make your own Kanji based on these basic rules.
You will also learn Japanese calligraphy (Shodo) with correct posture, proper way of holding an ink brush, and right stroke orders.
At the end of the workshop, you will demonstrate Japanese calligraphy skills by writing your own kanji on washi paper!
No language experience is necessary.  We welcome all who are interested in writing Kanji and learning about Japanese calligraphy.

*We will provide you with calligraphy tools and paper during the workshop.  Please note that calligraphy ink does not come off easily, so casual clothes are recommended.
