The Hakuhodo Foundation is now accepting applications from overseas schools for participation in the 15th Japanese Language Exchange Program. This program invites students aged 12-16 studying Japanese at overseas schools and their accompanying teachers to Japan for international exchanges and intercultural experiences in Japanese with Japanese students of the same age.

Application period: Through February 19, 2024

Notification of results: June 2024

Tentative program schedule:

Monday, November 11 – Friday, November 29, 2024: Preparatory Training in Japan for Overseas Teachers
－Online training will be held prior to and following the stay in Japan.

Wednesday, May 14 – Tuesday, May 27, 2025: Japanese Language Exchange Program
－Online school exchanges (sub-program) will be held prior to and following the stay in Japan.

※ Applications for the Hakuhodo Japanese Language Exchange Program are open to schools with Japanese language programs for students aged 12-16 years old. Students 17 years old and older are ineligible to participate. Full eligibility requirements for applying schools can be found here.
