Vital Information for US Test Sites:

The JLPT in the United States is administered through The Japan Foundation, Los Angeles, with the generous cooperation of the local host institutions in the cities below.

For 2010, the JLPT will be held at the 11 test sites listed below.

    (No Seating Limit)
  • Boston, Massachusetts
    Northeastern University
    (Limited to 300 Seats)
  • Chicago, Illinois
    De Paul University, Lincoln Park
    (Limited to 550 Seats)
  • Fayetteville, Arkansas

    (No Seating Limit)
  • Honolulu, Hawaii
    University of Hawaii at Manoa
    (No Seating Limit)
  • Los Angeles, California
    University of Southern California
    (Limited to 800 Seats)
  • New York, New York
    Lehman College, The City University of New York
    (Limited to 500 Seats)
  • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
    Villanova University
    (Limited to 400 Seats)
  • San Francisco, California
    San Francisco State University
    (Limited to 600 Seats)

Test Sites Outside of the US

With the exception of Japan, the JLPT in countries outside the United States is administered mostly through local Japan Foundation offices. Please go to http://www.jlpt.jp/application/overseas_list.html for the list of Local Host Institutions of JLPT for each country.

In Japan, the JLPT is administered by Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES). If you took the test in Japan, or are planning to take the test in Japan, you must go through them for test registration or score report reissuing.
